While reflecting upon this week, I realized that what began as a seemingly slow week, turned out to be one of those weeks that actually kept me fairly busy! Aside from the marketing blitz, and dumpster diving through the alleys of old southwest in search of the coolest props that money wouldn't buy, we stayed busy watching history unfold through the magic of television, but not the ones that we found in the alley, which you'll find out more about at a later date! As history unfolded, we saw alot of places that we were quite familiar with! For example, the Hay Adams Hotel, where Kevin and I photographed a really cool rooftop wedding, St. John's Episcopal Church, which is directly across from Lafayette Park, and the Hay Adams, the White House, and all of the monuments!
In my opinion, there's something especially beautiful about DC, especially at night, when the traffic subsides, and the throngs of people have retreated to the restaurants and bars throughout the city and suburbs. The view from Fort Meyer at night, which is only in my head because it was 11:30pm, and the drive home wasn't going to get any shorter, is amazing! It seems as if you can see the entire city from there, but you'll have to take my word for it because again, no pictures! Anyway, here are a few of the things that we do have pictures of, from the city that was practically the center of the world's attention this week! The columns are from the front of St. John's Episcopal...kind of random, but thought that they were interesting! Enjoy!
